  • GAP-GMST at the Gwinnett County 2026 Transition Fair on March 14, 2026.

  •      

  • Flag football will begin practices at Rhodes Jordan soccer field #2 (100 East Crogan Street, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30043) starting on February 21st.  See calendar for all dates.  Summer Games are May 22-24, 2026.

  • Modified volleyball will practice at Five Forks Middle School gym (3250 River Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30043) starting on March 5th.  See calendar for all dates.  Summer Games are May 22-24, 2026.

  • Thank you to the Atlanta Cricket League (ACL) for their generous donation to GAP!
  • We have an immediate need for:
    • A bowling pro to help provide some lessons for our Kool Kats league members.
    • Coaches for Bocce, Cycling, and Golf.
    • Leaders to restart our Walking Club.

    • Family Sensory Swim Night – Bogan Aquatic Center
      Dates: April 24; May 29; June 12; July 17; August 21, 2026
      Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
      Ages: All
      A relaxing evening swim with dimmed lighting and gentle underwater illumination. Water features are turned off to ensure a calm and enjoyable experience.
      Admission: $3.25 per participant; supervising caregivers are free

      Join us for our Annual Adaptive Family Summer Swim Party! This inclusive event is designed for individuals with disabilities, their families, and caregivers. Light refreshments will be served.

Arts & Creative Programs

  • Special Hearts Teen Art – Pinckneyville Park Community Recreation Center
    Dates: May 23; August 22, 2026
    Time: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
    Ages: 12–18
    A fun and engaging art class where participants can explore painting while building confidence and social connections. No experience needed.
    Fee: $3 supply fee (paid to instructor per class)

  • TR Adventures – Lilburn Activity Building- Drop-ins welcome
    Sessions:

      Ages: 18+
      Weekly sessions featuring games, crafts, karaoke, music, and more. A great opportunity to socialize, try new activities, and have fun in a supportive environment. Light refreshments provided.

       
  • TR Total Rec Experience – Rhodes Jordan Park Community Recreation Center

Dates: June 24; July 22; August 26, 2026

Ages: 18+
A high-energy program offering sports, games, fitness activities, and social interaction. Designed for active adults who enjoy movement and group recreation.

  • Teen Connect – Lilburn Activity Building

  • Adaptive Fishing Day – Club Drive Park

Date: August 1, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Ages: All
An accessible fishing experience in partnership with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Equipment, bait, and assistive resources provided. No fishing license required.

  • Adaptive Silent Disco – Shorty Howell Park Activity Building

Date: July 11, 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Ages: All
Celebrate National Therapeutic Recreation Week with a fun, inclusive silent disco! Participants can dance to their own music through headphones in a supportive environment.

  • Ice Cream and Bingo – Rhodes Jordan Park

Ages: 10+
Enjoy a fun evening of bingo, prizes, and an ice cream bar! Open to individuals with disabilities, along with their families and caregivers.
