GMST League / Terms & Conditions

GMST is an all volunteer organization for the benefit of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Fundraising and community awareness is provided by our parent organization, Greater Atlanta Pathways (GAP). Every dollar raised is used to support our programs. In addition GMST manages a number of Fund Raising programs each year, and we request and expect all athletes and their families to fully support these efforts. GMST requests a donation from each athlete to GAP so that we can provide them with a superior sports experience. The requested donation amount for each sport is different due to specific costs associated with the sport such as number of practices, cost of uniforms, rental of facilities, local permits, equipment costs, entrance fees, referees, and umpires, EMTs etc. It is also based on the success of our fundraising efforts. Donations may be spread over time to ease any burden on the families.  If you cannot afford a donation please talk to your coach for other possible options.

At the end of each sports training and regional competition, all athletes who are GMST/GAP members are invited to participate in the State games program. Non-member athletes who did not participate in the GMST league can also participate in State Games if they register and have a current SOGA medical by the games entry date.  The State Games entry fees are funded by Greater Atlanta Pathways.   Non-members are requested to pay a refundable deposit on the uniform, which is returned after State Games.
