About Greater Atlanta Pathways (GAP)
BACKGROUND
While Gwinnett County has excellent services for school age youth with special needs, unfortunately after graduation there is no County facilitation that can continue the good work that has only begun.
Growing from a sports-only focused organization that originated in 2009, Greater Atlanta Pathways (GAP) was founded in 2013 to provide the life enhancements that can help our members discover new abilities. Parents, Teachers, Clergy, Police Officers, world-class Musicians, and concerned Gwinnett citizens rally to a common banner and cause. It's all for our members. We invite you to be a part of our community. Please help us provide these much needed services.
GAP is a special needs umbrella organization of which GMST is a program offered by GAP, along with other special needs organizations. GAP was started with the goal of offering opportunities and resources for GMST athletes and their families to pursue other interests Sports and Life Skills, including Cultural Arts, Education, and Special Needs Resources. Specific programs will be offered often for both athletes and families and care givers. Membership in GAP is an annual cost of $60. Once you register for a sport or join with a Membership to GAP, watch for regular newsletters to explain all the program offerings.
